Figuring out your point of view that you want to write in is vital. It's also a good thing to make sure you have chosen right asap! I suggest when you are starting a story to take a scene and try writing it both in first person and in third person. Ask yourself these questions?
1. Which way feel best? 2. Which way works the best for you? 3.Which one gives you a better scene? 4. Can the rest of your story be written in that point of view? 5. Is one harder for you than the other? 6. Is the genre that you are writing in mostly in first or 3rd person? Hopefully by doing this you can pick which point of view works the very best and you can move a head with your writing feeling positive about this one thing. Here is a quick reference of the difference between the two 1st person: I, me, my 3rd person: he, she, they Happy Writing!!
